about us.
Welcome to Red Squirrel Holidays. We are a family run business based in Perth, Scotland. We offer self catering accommodation in some of Scotland’s favourite holiday destinations. Properties are available for weekly lets or short breaks. Our holiday homes offer luxurious accommodation with all modern amenities.
Our holiday homes include a six bedroom fully restored Georgian townhouse in Perth, a one bedroom apartment in an 18th century monastery tower overlooking Loch Ness, a seven bedroom converted farmhouse and steading set in the middle of the East Perthshire countryside and a converted Georgian mill overlooking Loch Tay. All of our properties have stunning locations and distinctive character and are well equipped to be as comfortable as your own home.

What You Can Expect From Us
When we set up Red Squirrel Holidays, our ethos was, and remains, that we would run holiday homes that we would like to stay in ourselves. When you book one of our homes, you can expect:

No hidden extras
Heating, electricity and wifi are all included. We also provide firewood if needed. If you need a travel cot then just ask. Free parking.

Bed linen and towels
Two towels provided per person. Comfortable bedding. Power showers.

Fully equipped kitchens
Plenty of crockery, cutlery & cooking utensils for all guests. Dishwasher & washing machine.

Home comforts
Flat screen TVs and access to Netflix. Comprehensive guest guide with local recommendations. Plenty of storage space.

Red Squirrel Holidays
Sarah and I moved to Scotland in 2010 and founded Red Squirrel Holidays that year. Our first property was the Monastery Tower by Loch Ness, a place that will always be special to us as that was where we got married. Easter Bendochy House was next and it was quickly followed by Atholl Place, a Georgian townhouse in the centre of Perth. For a few years we ran a 3-bedroom apartment in Edinburgh's new town. And, in early 2019, we added a converted mill with views across Loch Tay.
